While every member can attend Summer Retreat and vote on policy resolutions, only delegates can vote in the Executive Board elections and vote on constitutional amendments.
Each Student Club, Federal Riding Club, and Provincial Riding Club that is officially recognized by the OYL is entitled to elect and send 15 delegates to Summer Retreat to vote for constitutional amendments and Executive Board elections. In ridings where no official club exists, the President of the riding association may choose 3 delegates to attend and vote for constitutional amendments and Executive Board elections.
Delegates are elected at their club’s Delegate Selection Meeting (DSM). All DSMs must be held by August 4, 2014. Contact your club President for more information.
